Bio-Nik Episode 1 Review: "Program Activated"

Bio-Nik pun telah bersiaran sejak 18 Mei yang lalu. Jarang ade cerita melayu kat TV yang I'm excited nak tgk. Balik2 dengan cinta 3 segi dan perebutan syarikat. So bile ternampak iklan ni kat TV3, macam curious jugak nak tgk what it's all about. Saye mmg meminati cite2 fantasi & sci-fi. Buatkan kite lupekan dunia kejap. It's time kite ade citer superhero yang xdela terlalu fokus pada lawak. More serious. I missed the first 3 episode tapi nasib baik TV3 ade Catch Up TV untuk tgk semula episod2 yang lepas. Rasenye masih belum terlambat untuk tulis review saya tentang episod pertama siri ini.



Episod ni started with the kemalangan scene di mana Nik (played by Kamal Adli) dan kawan die terlibat but at this time kite tak tau lagi ape yang berlaku. Okla die nak start camni but I think it doesn't tell anything at this point. Kalo start dengan scene Nik bangun tido pun xpe since scene ni akan diulang later in the episode. Mase mula2 tgk ingat scene kemalangan tu melibatkan org lain selain Nik. Sebab x kenal sape2 lg.


Sementara tu, bapa Nik Dr. Hafiz (played by Hafidzuddin Fadzil) is seen teaching about 'fenomena mengubah bentuk badan'. X sure la kalo ade subject macam ni kat any U or kolej. Lagi2 sebab Dr. Hafiz is a physics lecturer. Maybe kalo specific to robotics or plastic surgery baru nampak appropriate nak cite pasal Pamela Anderson skali. I know tujuan die sebagai komik but flow die cam x natural.


One thing saye rase untuk siri ni, the dialogues are more loose. Macam pelakon2 die byk 'ad-lib'. It might make it seem natural tp kadang2 nmpk cam kelam kabut gak. The next few scenes bawak kite tgk Nik and his friend dalam perjalanan ke vacation diorg. I like the fact yang die highlight about bawak surah Yasin. Nmpk Malaysian and very true.


Prasan x diorg mcm drive on the wrong side of the road? Huhu. X paham knape die buat camtu. Lepas berenti buang air (x takut org curi kete ke x tutup pintu?), Nik plak drive. Nik nk amik sesuatu kat glove compartment but x dpt elak lori kat depan. Sian... Teruk jugakla tgk kemalangan tu. Sampai kene langgar brape kali. Kete pun berpusing2. And we're back at the first scene. Ade plak org hisap rokok x padam btul2. Trus meletup. I think special effects ni was unnecassary sbb the first perlanggaran pun kite dh tau it was serious. Lgpun x penting kepada jalan cerita.


Bile ade je scene2 hospital dalam drama Melayu slalu susah nak percaya pelakon yang jadi doktor. Same with this case unfortunately. Both my siblings blajar med and bile diorg tgk scene ni gelak x abis. Saye yg bukan doktor pun x percaya. Br check sikit dh buat diagnosis, kaki tangan kene potong. Dr. Syamil (played by Isma Daniel) should've been introduced properly. Rather than datang kejap semata2 ntuk kite kenal character die, baik die je jd doktor yg merawat.


Atas suggestion doktor, Dr. Hafiz pun amik Nik untuk menanam besi ke dalam tubuh badan die. Percubaan pertama gagal. After 3 months, 2nd try is scheduled. Not really sure how long it took but dalam iklan promo Bio-Nik sebelum ni die kate 5 tahun yang lalu. Unless, die bercakap mase tu dah end of 2nd season. The scene was played out OK but took too long. Mommy dearest should take a chill pill. Relax. The episode ended dengan 2nd try dianggap fail. It would've been exciting if the ending was left just like that tp promo utk next episode dh spoil the suspense.


Overall, I think kalo saye menonton episod ni mase kat TV3 mesti kecewa sebab x dpt tgk lg Nik in action. Slalu tgk cite2 cam Smallville, Birds of Prey, Heroes first episode diorg dah introduce the hero. First villain pun dah ade. So I think the build up is a bit slow. I think they should emphasize more on research n dialogue untuk nampak ape yang diorg cakap is believable. Ade satu part mak die kate "This is only our son"(Ni anak laki kite je) padahal patutnye "This is our only son"(Ni satu2nye anak laki kite). Pasal silap susunan je kite bleh slah sampai maksud ayat.

P/S: Prasan x Dr. Hafiz ade cakap pasal somebody name Sharifah yang diorg penah gagal? Agaknye kite akan dpt tau x sape Sharifah tu dlm episod2 akan dtg? So far xde lg (ke Lisa tu?).
